              CASEIN PLANT AUTOMATION  PHILOSHPHY
BASIC   PROCESS (WET SECTION )
MILK IS RECEIVED IN PLANT FROM THE CHILLING CENTERS.
FAT IS SEPARATED IN MILK PROCESSING SECTION AND SKIMMED MILK IS SENT TO SKIM MILK SILOS AT ABOUT 6 DEG C  FOR MAKING CASEIN.
SKIM MILK IS THENPUMPED ATLTS/HR AND HEATED TO ABOUT 45 DEG C THROUGH A HOT WATER BATTERY AND PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER .
ACID  ( 10% HYDROCHLORIC ACID ) AT APPX.  350 LTS/HR.IS INJECTED TO SPLIT THE MILK INTO CURD AND WHEY.
THE SPLIT MILK PASSES THROUGH HOLDING TUBE.  pH  OF FLUID IS MAINTAINED AT 4.0
CURD IS SEPARATED FROM WHEY ON THE SCREEN  OF WASH TANK.
CURD IS WASHED AND CLEANED FROM ACID IN THE 1ST AND 2ND   DECANTERS AND FIRST THREE WASH TANKS.
WHEY IS AGAIN SEPARATED   FROM CURD ON THE SCREEN OF 4TH WASH TANK .
CURD IS PASTEURISED IN THE 4TH WASH TANK ( 72 DEG. C ) AND THROUGH COOLING TUBES.
FURTHER MOISTURE IS REMOVED FROM CURD IN THIRD DECANTER.
SLIGHTLY HARD CURD IS COLLECTED FROM THIRD DECANTER AND SENT TO DRYING SECTION BY AIR PRESSURE THROUGHROOT BLOWER.
WHEY COLLECTED THROUGH SCREENS AND WASH TANKS IS PUMPED INTO A WHEY STORAGE TANK.
WHEY THEN PASSES THROUGH WHEY CLARIFIER AND FINES OF CURD ( CASEIN ) ARE SEPARATED AND CLEAR WHEY IS SENT TO WHEY SILOS IN THE EVAPORATOR SECTION.
CASEIN FINES ARE PUMPED BACK INTO THE WASH TANK.

DRY SECTION
FROM ROOT BLOWER OF 3RD DECANTER CASEIN GRANULES ENTER THE DRY SECTION.
DISINTEGRATOR BREAKS THE GRANULES INTO SMALL BITS AND PIECES AND PUSHES INTO THE RING.
HOT AIR ENTERS THE RING FROM OTHER SIDE AND THE CASEIN MOISTURE IS REMOVED.
CASEIN IN THE RING THEN ENTRES THE CLASSIFIER, WHERE HEAVIER PARTICLES AGAIN ENTER THE DISINTEGARATOR AND THE LIGHTER ONES GO THROUGH CYCLONES AND ARE DROPPED TO A FLUEDISED BED COOLER ( FBC ) FOR COOLING THROUGH COOL AND DRY AIR.
FROM FBC THE CASEIN ENTERS PNEUMATIC CONVEYING SECTION.
